You could simply email a file for half of the things you send on Pownce, no? There file size limit is what? 10MB?

It's a cool network, and sometimes I wish it were as popular as Twitter, but I'm not sure it's worth the switch simply for filesharing...

Cordiva, the reason I prefer pownce to email is because I talk to a lot of people online. A whole lot. I do not email these people, because I never have to. We say what needs to be said on various web sites. So I'm mostly not given an email address, even though I also need to share files. As a writer, this can be really helpful with my friends and family.

Even with the glory that is Gmail,. I cannot say I email people nearly as much as I did 10, or even 5 years ago.

And, actually, I'd like to cut down on having so many alternate email addresses ... I hate giving out my 'always' email addy to just anyone, even when i want to share a file. so, this makes a VERY viable option for me.
